Privacy Policy

EastStill ("EastStill," "we," "us") provides a photo-sharing service for weddings and events, where guests capture photos that gather into a shared gallery. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and your choices. By using EastStill, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• From event hosts (the person who books): your name or event name, event date, email address, and phone number, provided when you book.
• From guests (people who scan the code): your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, provided when you register to shoot.
• Photos: the images guests capture, which are stored and displayed in that event's shared gallery.
• Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
• Basic technical data: standard information your browser sends, used to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

• To provide the service — create your event, generate your code, register guests, store and deliver photos to the gallery.
• To communicate with you about your event, your gallery, and support.
• To process payments.
• To send promotional messages only if you have opted in (see below).

Marketing & your consent

We will only send you promotional emails or messages if you have explicitly opted in (for example, by checking a "send me EastStill news and offers" box). If you did not opt in, we use your contact information solely to deliver the service you signed up for. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any promotional message, or by contacting us.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run EastStill, including:

• Supabase — database and photo storage.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Messaging providers (such as Twilio) if and when we send texts or notifications you've agreed to receive.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Photos and galleries

Photos taken by guests are added to the shared gallery for that specific event and are visible to others with access to that gallery. The event host can view, download, and remove photos from their gallery. By capturing photos through EastStill, guests agree to their photos appearing in the event's gallery.

How long we keep your data

Galleries remain live for the period tied to your package (for example, six months, one year, or two years), or longer if you choose to extend it. After that, galleries may be closed or removed. Hosts are always able to download their original photos to keep. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time (see Contact).

Your choices and rights

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your information.
• Opt out of marketing at any time.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including access controls on our database. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

EastStill is intended for use by adults. Event hosts are responsible for their events and guests. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
