Questions
And a few honest answers about how it all works.
No. They scan a QR code (or tap a link) and the camera opens right in their browser. Nothing to install, no account to make, no app store. That's the whole point — if it took an app, half your guests would never bother.
The camera works offline — but it has to be opened once with a signal first.
Scan the QR and open your camera anywhere you have a connection: at home, in the car, at the hotel, or the moment you arrive. That sets your camera up on your phone.
From then on you can shoot the whole night with no signal at all. Every still is saved straight onto your phone, and you'll see a small note — "No signal — keep shooting, your stills are safe" — so you know nothing's being lost.
When you're back on wifi or data — even the next morning — open your camera link and everything uploads itself.
One sentence does it: "Scan the QR when you arrive, before you sit down."
That single moment — while they still have a bar of signal, or the venue's wifi at the door — is the only connection they need. It loads their camera onto their phone.
After that, they can shoot the entire reception offline. The photos ride home in their pocket and upload themselves the moment they're back on a signal. Nobody stands in a corner waving their phone at the ceiling, and nothing is lost.
Put it on your welcome sign, or have the coordinator say it once. That's the whole trick.
Nope. Rescan the QR or tap your link and you'll land straight back in your camera with your remaining stills. Your roll follows you all night.
Fifteen on most packages, twenty-five on The Feature. It's deliberate. Give someone unlimited shots and they take a hundred forgettable ones. Give them fifteen and they look — they wait for the moment. That's why the photos come out the way they do.
Of course. Flip the camera, use the flash, shoot in colour or black and white. It behaves like a disposable camera — just a much better one.
When they finish their roll, we email them a private link to their own stills. They can save them straight to their phone's photo library, or share one to a story — every image comes out perfectly sized for Instagram.
Like film. Real grain, warm highlights, honest flash. Each one is framed as a keepsake print with your event name and date underneath. Not a filter slapped on a phone photo — a look built from the ground up.
You do. They're yours to download, print, and share, forever. Download the originals whenever you like — even if your online gallery eventually expires, the files you've saved are yours to keep.
Yes. Your dashboard lets you hide any photo from the gallery with one tap. It's your night — you decide what stays.
You set the opening time when you book — usually the start of your reception. It closes automatically at 5am the morning after, so nobody's shooting your wedding on Tuesday. You can also open or close it yourself, any time, from your dashboard.
Nobody gets turned away at the door — everyone shoots. Afterwards, if extra guests joined, you'll see the option to unlock their photos too. We'd never interrupt your night to ask you for money.
Your dashboard gives you a single link. Send it to whoever you like — no logins, no accounts. They can browse and download the whole thing.
On The Feature, yes. Your logo appears on every photo your guests take, and across the gallery itself. Every image that ends up on someone's Instagram carries your brand with it.
Whenever you like — even the same day. There's nothing to ship and nothing to set up. Book it, print the QR code, put it on the tables.
Your QR code, printed. That's it. Put one on each table or by the entrance. Your guests do the rest.
No — and it shouldn't. A photographer gives you the beautiful, composed record of your day. EastStill gives you the other half: the table nobody was watching, the uncle mid-laugh, the 1am dance floor. A hundred perspectives your photographer physically cannot be in at once. They're better together.
Six months to two years depending on your package — and you can extend it. But download your favourites anyway: once they're saved, they're yours regardless.
Yes. Guest names, emails, and phone numbers are locked away — they're never readable from the website, only used to send people their own photos. We don't sell data, and we don't share it. Full details are in our privacy policy.
